Luke Halls Studio — About
Luke Halls Studio is an award winning, multidisciplinary studio working within projection and video design for the performing arts. Luke Halls has been producing video design and animation for over a decade, he specialises in theatre, music and dance.
 
Opera work includes Don Giovanni (The Royal Opera House), Otello (Metropolitan Opera) and Carmen (Bregenz Lake Stage).
 
Theatre work includes West Side Story (Broadway Theatre), Ugly Lies The Bone, The Lehman Trilogy (National Theatre) and The Nether (Royal Court). Halls has worked prolifically for music artists, creating video designs and animation for tours by Adele, Beyoncé, Pet Shop Boys, U2 and Rihanna, among others.

Charli Davis, Video Designer
Prior to live design, Davis has a diverse background of live shooting and post production for fashion, documentary film and music videos. As a Video Designer at Luke Halls Studio, her works include: Dua Lipa Future Nostalgia Tour, Louis Vuitton windows: ‘Postcards from the Future’ (2019), Take That’s Odyssey Greatest Hits Tour, Frida Kahlo: Making Herself Up (V&A), Room Twenty Twenty Two (Art Basel Miami), Please Feed the Lions (LDF 2018), The xx (Festival Tour, 2018). Opera includes: Carmen (Bregenz Festspielhaus), Atlas (Walt Disney Concert Hall). Theatre includes: Girls & Boys, A History of Water in the Middle East (The Royal Court Theatre).

 

Jenny Rush, Head of Production
As Head of Production at Luke Halls Studio, Rush oversees the production of a diversity of projects. Bringing with her a wealth of experience across a range of creative industries including fashion, film, music, TV and events. Works include: Giudizio Universale: Michelangelo and the Secrets of the Sistine Chapel (Rome), Louis Vuitton: Maison, 1854, The Russell Howard Hour, Take That Greatest Hits Tour 2019, Pan American Games Opening Ceremony 2019 (Lima, Peru), Alice Curiouser & Curiouser (V&A), Dua Lipa: Future Nostalgia Tour 2022 and Pet Shop Boys Tour 2022.

 

Zakk Hein, Technical Manager & Creative Associate
Hein specialises in video design for theatre productions at Luke Halls Studio. He advises on technical specifications across a range of complex projects for the studio including projection, LED, interactive and live generated. Works include: Frameless (Marble Arch, London), The Poem Pavilion UK – Expo 2020, Forest of Us (SUPERBLUE, Miami), Louis Vuitton SS19, Please Feed the Lions (LDF 2018), MASK (Photo London), Epic Iran, Alice: Curiouser & Curiouser, The Singing Tree (V&A), Bottega Veneta AW20. Theatre: The Lehman Trilogy (National Theatre); La Belle Sauvage: The Book of Dust, Christmas Carol, Alys Always, My Name is Lucy Barton (Bridge Theatre).

Bridget Vuillermin, Producer
Working across the full scope of projects at Luke Halls Studio, Vuillermin is a multidisciplinary producer with a background in commercial and editorial production for print, video, animation, social and events. As a Producer at Luke Halls Studio her works include: Dua Lipa: Future Nostalgia Tour, Drake: It’s All A Blur Tour, Louis Vuitton’s LV200 Visionaries, UAE National Day 50 & 51, Biffy Clyro, Desert of Dreams: UAE Pavilion World Expo, Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2023, MTV Movie & TV Awards 2023.

 

Elena Kotsi, Set Designer & 3D Video Designer
Kotsi is a set and 3D video design associate at Luke Halls Studio, working across theatre, dance, music and opera. Her previous work includes set, lighting and 3D video designs for NTNG, Concert Hall & Skull of Yorick Productions, Cockpit Theatre and Arc4Art. Her work with Luke Halls Studio includes Flight (Rambert Dance Company), Marco Polo (Guangzhou Opera House), The Unknown Soldier (Royal Opera House), Victoria Secret, Take That, Bottega Veneta, Frameless (Marble Arch, London) and Cars, Kimono, Alice: Curiouser & Curiouser, Epic Iran (V&A).

Kat Kemsley, Producer
Since joining Luke Halls Studio in November, Kemsley has been a part of the production team on Best of Enemies (The Young Vic), Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia Tour, Pet Shop Boys Dreamworld Tour, Sigrid, Biffy Clyro and The Cube US. With a background in producing for film and advertising, she also brings her experience in editing and creative technologies to the team.

 

Ian MacIntosh, Design Associate
MacIntosh is an associate designer at Luke Halls Studio. He previously graduated from the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati where he studied lighting, video, and stage design for theatre, dance, opera, and music. He also has worked in live production supporting and directing projects using virtual production and extended reality. His associate work with Luke Halls Studio Includes An Atlas of Es Devlin (Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum), Drake: It’s All a Blur Tour, and the MTV Movie and TV Awards 2023.

 

Pearl Gerald, Junior Design Associate / Studio Assistant
Gerald is a recent graduate of Graphic and Media Design from the University of the Arts London. She has recently joined Luke Halls Studio, bringing her passion for live events, animation, and projection mapping, aiming to further cultivate and enhance her skill set in this creative domain. Her previous engagements include notable projects such as Frameless (Marble Arch) 2022 with Luke Halls Studio, where she contributed as a junior animator. Additionally, she served as the video designer for The Black Men’s Consortium’s Play ‘Without Planning Permission – The Climate Crisis 2023’ held at the Brixton House Theatre.
